Care at home

Inpatient Unit (Ward)

John Cheverton Centre

Earl Mountbatten provides expert medical, nursing and personal end of life care, as well as bereavement support, to over 600 people in their own homes on any one day.

We also offer a range of other bespoke services including expert psychological support, creative and complementary therapies and an Island-wide bereavement service.

All of our work across our community is backed up by a 16-bed inpatient unit, a self-help day and rehabilitation centre - the John Cheverton Centre - as well as by an expert hospital team, based at St Mary's Hospital, Newport, and a rapid discharge service which supports people to either die in hospital or return home.

"They look after you and they're so caring. I'm not frightened of dying."
